Our story
From one engineer to a skilled local team
Hi, I'm Marc McClarence, director of Boilertech NE. I served my time as a heating engineer with British Gas, starting in 2002. After 18 years I branched out on my own.
Since then Boilertech has grown from just me to a team of engineers and office staff, with more than 1,400 customers across the North East.
We help homeowners who want their heating and hot water sorted without the stress. We cover all heating and plumbing work, but we specialise in gas boiler and central heating installations, unvented cylinders and full bathrooms. That focus means you get engineers who do this work every day.
We're based in North Shields and cover all NE, SR and DH postcodes, plus parts of DL, from Newcastle and Whitley Bay down to Sunderland, Durham and Darlington.
Training the next generation
Meet Jack, our apprentice
This is Jack, halfway through his first solo install: a new Baxi boiler, fitted by Jack while being supervised every step of the way.
Marc learned his trade the proper way, serving his time with British Gas. We want to pass that on, so Jack learns on real jobs alongside experienced engineers, and every piece of his work is checked before it's signed off.

Gas Safe registered
Every gas job is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers. We're also LPG registered, G3 certified for unvented cylinders and accredited for air source heat pumps.
Manufacturer accredited
We're accredited installers for Baxi, Worcester Bosch, Ideal and Vaillant, so your boiler warranty is registered properly from day one.
12-month workmanship warranty
On top of the manufacturer's warranty, our own workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months.
£5m public liability insurance
You're fully covered while we're working in your home.
No deposit on boiler installs
You don't pay anything up front for a boiler installation. Full bathroom refits carry a 25% deposit.
